Education and Different Ways to Get It
Education takes many forms and is derived from many different mediums. There is academic education, where the student acquires knowledge based from books, teachers, lectures and scholarly applications. Academic education ranges from primary schools to secondary schooling to, often, college or university level degree pursuance. When being educated in the public sector, ones schooling is often subsidized by the state and federal governments until they reach college, where government funding is still present, but decreased.
In addition to academic education, experiential education is also a form of learning. This entails learning from opportunities and making judgments based on lessons learned from previous experiences. One learns this way by talking to people, internships, traveling and self-motivated learning. This kind of education is not the kind you get quizzed on, rather, it is the kind that produces multi-faceted individuals and diversity in peoples approaches to life’s challenges.
